I first heard about the LiveNow Fitness Family on a local radio talk show which featured David Girton. Listening to his tips on healthy living encouraged me to think about health and enter the Anti-Resolution Healthy Lifestyle 90-Day Challenge. The best thing about the boot camp sessions was the variety it provided - no boring routines. I never knew what was in store, but I knew each day would be a good, hard workout. Not only did I lose 27 pounds and inches off my waist line, more importantly, I am healthier than I have ever been.

Forget the late night television gimmicks and standing around a machine at the gym. LiveNow Fitness will change your life. Thanks David and Bruce!

"Commit 2B Fit" Weight Loss Champ (Jul-Oct 2010)

I am not unfamiliar with a healthy lifestyle, I just lost sight of what healthy nutrition and exercise was all about. I allowed circumstances to get in the way .....and before I knew it some extra pounds snuck up on me over a period of 2 years. I went back to work full-time, my old trainer moved out of state, I stopped visiting the gym as frequently as I used to. I forgot to look after myself and I know this was a poor choice. I started bootcamp at Live Now Fitness in Jan. 2010 with 3 of my neighbors. After 6 months I entered the 12 week Commit to be Fit Weight Loss Challenge and with a bit of healthy competition and weekly weigh-ins with David that kept me honest with my clean eating, I was amazed to have lost 19 lbs! David and Bruce have a love for fitness that is not only contagious, but they show you that it is never too late to get in the best shape of your life! The two of them are so enthusiastic when it comes to making you feel better about yourself and at the same time they lift your self esteem to the highest levels. Almost as soon as you begin their program you start to eat better as you gain health, strength and energy. By using ever-changing routines which incorporate resistance training, cardiovascular exercises, boxing, weights, obstacle courses, TRX, etc.. They are constantly shocking the body and before you know it changes start to take place. You begin to lose weight and inches, have boundless energy, and your body will have the chance for optimum health and you will feel your all-time best....David and Bruce believe everyone deserves that! Live Now Fitness is the perfect place for beginners, or those of us like myself, who just need to jumpstart back into the routine. I have made some great new friends and will continue with my Live Now Family because I know they will be there all the way. If the thought of Boot Camp scares you, don't let it! It will be a great experience you don't want to miss out on.

Eat less, move more. It's such a simple path to follow to success and yet it's so hard to take that first step when you find yourself overweight, depressed, lacking in self confidence and frustrated. Standing on the sidelines, I watched my sister, Carrie, join Live Now Fitness. Over time, I watched her shrink and become stronger. But, the amount of time she spent working out! Taking that much time away from my family for myself seemed so selfish.

Mustering some motivation, I attended...alright, frankly Carrie dragged me to a free LNF workout (80's workout Oct 2010.) It was tough, but fun. Still not quite ready, I joined a local gym and began working out with a trainer. It was close to my home, convenient and my trainer was nice enough, but it was boring and I felt I could be pushed more with the right trainer. I kept thinking back to that free workout I had attended. The switch to LNF would add a 50 minute round trip commute to my workouts that I was already feeling angst over the time I was taking as it is.

Finally I realized that I *needed* to be selfish. I need to take that time for myself. A stronger, healthier me was the best thing I could do for my family. In March 2011 I officially joined the LNF family.

With Live Now I find my workouts to be challenging, envigorating and effective! David, Bruce and Lawrence are just the right mix of positive, encouraging, entertaining and just a bit pushy (when it's needed!) I am thrilled with the changes in my body! I am stronger and have more endurance which is leading to the self confidence I was lacking. The depression, frustration and confidence issues that have plagued my head are melting away. The physical strength I have now is helping bolster my mental strength to help me tackle the weight issues I've battled for so long. All the success is feeding on itself and it's a such great feeling!

While working with David Girton ("Girt") and the LiveNow Fitness team I had the time of my life. Girt really knows how to have fun while working you extremely hard. The time I spent with him this past off-season before I went to play pro ball in California was very beneficial for me. The training program helped me get in tip-top shape and I was stronger than ever, which allowed me to be a successful pro where I am averaging 32.6 points per game and a lot of that was due to the conditioning program designed for me at LiveNow Fitness. Girt will get you in shape in any way you need, but my time with him he also become like a father figure to me. He was a very motivational person and he is as real as it gets. I highly recommend Girt and the LiveNow Fitness team to anyone looking to get there mind, body, and soul in order!!!!!

I was completely hooked after the 1st class and have been a member ever since. There are so many things I love about Live Now Fitness that are unique, positive and motivating and have helped me lose 26 pounds in the last 6 months. I can’t say enough about David and Bruce! Their motivation and support is unparalleled! I really appreciate how much thought is put into every aspect of Live Now Fitness. Each class provides a wide variety of exercises, music, movement and skills which allow me to push myself to new personal goals plus keeps it exciting and fresh. I also appreciate the emails, recipes, newsletters, races, tips and challenges-these are helpful reminders on how to stay consistent and how to live and keep a healthy lifestyle. There is also a tremendous amount of support from the group of boot-campers who are there each and every morning. It is so awesome to know that there is always someone to help, encourage and cheer you on! Sounds crazy but I don’t mind getting up at 5:30 in the morning to work out and actually miss it when I can’t- that is a true testimate to how fantastic, effective, and fun Live Now Fitness is to me!

After all the complaints “It’s to Far”; “It cost to much”; and the famous “I don’t have a babysitter”, LIVENOW FITNESS (LNF) HAS CHANGED MY LIFE. August 2010, I remember emailing David stating, I want to lose weight - September approaching fast I came up with another excuse: the drive and in the process of putting off Boot Camp I decided to take diet pills & get B12 shots (lol) - what a waste. The diet pill is definitely an appetite suppressant, however if you miss a day you go back to your poor eating habits and any weight you lose is gained back - plus more.

In October 2010 is when I realized if I want to make a change there are no excuses – you just have to do it. The most challenging part for me was fitting exercise in along with working full time and taking care of two kids. My first month was really hard, I couldn’t do a push-up, sit-up and burpees - you could forget it. If there was an exercise that was too advanced for me, you better believe Bruce, David and Lawrence had an alternative way for me to get it in. Along my journey I met some bullies - a.k.a(Ann, Axia, Que, Grace, & Kendra) formerly known as people who inspired & motivated me to do more.  I remember my first relay race everyone was at the finish line except me, Kendra & Que came back to get me, while the rest of LNF crew cheered me on, it brought tears to my eyes. Then you have, Bruce Jones, the only person that always catches me resting during an exercise and he will come from across the room just to say, “You’re a Jones, you can do it!” Every work-out even when Bruce is not there I hear him in my ear saying you’re a Jones, and I push myself to work harder.

When I started I weighed 246 pounds and after six weeks of working out I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t shedding pounds - I got discouraged and wanted to quit. I sent David another email expressing my feelings …. he said, “what are you eating?” I was to embarrassed to say so David then suggested I sign up for Myfitnesspal.com and start keeping a diary of everything I eat and to make my page visible for him to see. After using the site, and viewing how LNF members ate their meals I was able to focus and change my eating habits. December 2010 I decided to joined LiveNow Fitness 90 day weight loss challenge. I came in second place, 20 pounds lighter, shopping is a way better experience and this Summer I will wear my first pair of shorts since 2005. Everyday is a new challenge and I’m ready to finally begin my life. I can now say I couldn’t live without exercise and I am so glad LiveNow Fitness is a part of my weekly routine.

My weight loss journey has been an actual journey. I have tried every diet, and diet pill there is, but for some reason I have never really had success had any of those things. I always thought I could eat what I want work out and I still could lose weight. When I came to LiveNow Fitness all of my thoughts and actions I saw were totally wrong. As I began to speak with David and Bruce about my habits they gave me information on clean eating and a consist work out plan. I knew that I needed a plan to help me succeed. I had entered into three weight loss challenges and the first two seemed like a disaster for me. I was getting a little discouraged at first because I was losing inches, but not pounds. David told me to be patient and the weight will come off. After my third challenge, I really did see the pounds come off. At the end of the challenge I lost 14 pounds, I ran five 5k races within the month of October. I began to see my entire body transform. I know now that I could not have done all this without the support of my LNF Family. Each time I come to class David and Bruce will push me beyond limits that I thought I could never imagines. Being a part of the LNF Family gives me the passion to encourage my friends and family to live a healthy lifestyle. I ABSOULTELY LOVE MY LNF Family.

There are very few people and circumstances in life, which affect you in such a positive way that they change your outlook and life forever. David, Bruce, Lawrence, Robyn and the “LiveNow” Family are those few people and the boot camp workouts are the circumstances that changed my mind and life positively forever.

People tell you when you are pregnant; you AREN’T eating for two (even though some of us like to use that as an excuse to over-indulge) and that most expectant mothers only need 500 extra calories a day (in addition to their normal daily intake) for the baby. Furthermore, expectant mothers are told to continue with their fitness regime in order to keep the weight gain to a minimum. Overall, I did obey my doctors’ orders along with the many warnings expressed by all the women who had already gone down that path to motherhood…UNTIL…the end of my pregnancy when my doctor put me on bed rest (delivery was a week after my due date and was almost a full six weeks of bed rest). I did NOTHING except eat (and eat and eat), sleep (and more sleep after eating) and go to the doctors for 6 weeks. NO EXERCISE for six weeks was torture for someone who was used to getting up and going to the gym six days a week for a least an hour. Needless to say many (too many) pounds found their way to just about every part of my body including the 9+ pound baby I was carrying. It has been seven years since giving birth and along my journey to get my “pre-pregnancy” body and health back I have tried everything and nothing worked EXCEPT for LiveNow Boot Camp.

The Groupon offer came thru my email and I was intrigued. I had to find out more. I decided, “What do I have to lose?” (Except for weight) and took advantage of the Groupon offer. From the very first night (March 8th), I was hooked. No group exercise or any apparatus at the gym can compare to the workout I receive at the LiveNow boot camp. The LiveNow family members are one of kind…welcoming, supportive, and confident as well as all around good people who want to see one another succeed in their goals. There aren’t enough positive thoughts, feelings and words to describe David, Bruce, Larry and Robyn, the instructors, and family members of the LiveNow boot camp make the experience what it is and I honestly say I don’t believe that another fitness boot camp pushes as hard, laughs as much, or cares more than the people associated with LiveNow Fitness.

I still have a journey ahead of me with weight to lose and health to gain; however, I now have the necessary tools to accomplish anything – and – want to thank everyone associated with LiveNow fitness for believing in me and giving me the strength and courage to take my life back.

I must admit health and fitness isn’t anything new to me. However, trying to rid myself of the last 10 pounds that I put on after my son was born was totally new!! "What the hell", was actually what I was saying! I ran into David and told him that I was still fighting to get back to my pre-Ethan self so he convinced me to come on back to boot camp and when I did I was all IN! If I had to sum it up in one word, “inspired”, is what it would be! I was in total awe as I watched the LiveNow fitness family does their thing! They all have their own story however; they share a commonality…TO BE HEALTHY and HAVE FUN!! It felt like watching kids at the playground, they don’t care who you are they just want to play and I LOVED IT!!!

Needless to say, 15 pounds lighter and I’ve been PLAYING ever since! So, I guess I'll see you at the playground

David I would like to thank you for all of your help and support along my weight loss struggles. This time around, when I started, I didn’t believe in my ability to commit or lose the weight. I figured I would try and go from there. Your pantry visit was very eye opening to how addicted I am/was to sugar and sometimes unbeknownst to me because I wasn’t reading labels on foods. Your support and encouragement were a God send and I thank Him for using you to change my outlook. We have been on this journey now for 12 weeks and I have lost 24 lbs. The no sugar and meat challenges have opened my mind to other possibilities and been instrumental in my weight loss thus far. When we did the personal training a few years ago, I was doing a combination of different diet plans and then started working out when I hit a wall in my weight loss. You told me then that you wanted me to do lifestyle changes and not a diet, who knew :>). Well, I am a believer now. I pray daily to stay the course, it’s still very hard, and thank you for all of your support. I WILL & CAN REACH MY GOALS.

SB: You told me “You are going to do the next 5K with LNF next year.” If you recall, I kept saying nope, I don’t agree, we will see. Well now I will be doing my first 5K in October :>).

Again, thanks a million keep doing what you are doing to reach the masses and make a difference.

Ok, who was I kidding???? Still eating whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, mixing this and that in with a 45 minute workout here and there, all on top of my 'busy' schedule. I really thought that was going to help me lose weight. When I didn't see any results with my weight, I finally got my mind ready. I told my husband, "I have to lose weight", he tells me "Well lose the weight. I know you can do it". That being said, I then called one of my best friends (who is also a member of the LNF Fam, LaTosha Bell) and it was a wrap!!! While she worked out with me every other day, she was introducing me to new eating habits, sleeping right and this thing called "Boot Camp". I had heard her mention it in past conversations, but paid her no mind because of the price. Long story short, that was one of the best purchases I have ever made. I signed up for my first challenge on March 1, 2010 and between my workout sessions at LNF, running, EATING RIGHT and my 'busy' daily life schedule, I have lost a total of (drum roll) 58 pounds (50 since I've been an LNF member).

David and Bruce are both great in their own way. Their motivation is crazy encouraging. Not only did they make me feel like I was a regular on my first day there, so did the whole class. They are always paying attention to you no matter if Bruce is teaching a class on a Friday and David yells out "Get off your knees Charlene" all while he is supposed to be teaching TRX class himself. lol

Between David's unforgettable voice and his constant emails checking in on your food journal and Bruce's wild energy @ 5:30 in the morning with his theme song "JUMP JUMP", how could you not look forward to coming to class? (And not to mention how I love to make fun of his sorry excuse for a NFL team (Cowboys) LOL.

I never would have thought I would be getting up for a 5:30 a.m. class (which I am 3 to 5 minutes late for just about every morning) lol ... but I feel great!

I just want to thank my Fam and the LNF Fam for the motivation, encouragement, and helping me reach my goal.

"I'm So Hot" Weight Loss Champ (July 2010)

KendraThe Old Me in One Word - Lifeless
When I joined The LIVE NOW FITNESS (LNF) Bootcamp Family, I weighed 243 pounds. I could not run 10 yards without getting winded. I only slept about four to five hours a night. My energy level was very low. I wore a size 20, my BMI was 35 (OBESE) and my blood pressure was getting high. My workout consisted of me getting in and out of my car - oh yeah - and walking to the mailbox. My daily meals consisted of everything unhealthy - any and every fried meat, french fries, fried or mashed potatoes, fried cabbage, biscuits, and at least four highly caffeinated, sugary, carbonated drinks.

The NEW Me in One Word - DETERMINED!!!!
TODAY - I've chosen to make a lifestyle change. I take care of me by working out at least four times a week. My energy level is fabulous. I sleep eight solids hours each night. NO FRIED FOODS - I eat plenty of steamed or sauteed vegetables, lots of fruit, brown rice and grilled/baked chicken or fish. I drink at least eight cups of water daily. So far, I have run five 5K races and plan to run at least one a month. The hardest part of the LNF bootcamp is getting there. The LNF Family will see you thru the workouts. The support from the LNF Family members is the key to my continuous success. We work as a team and NO ONE is left behind.

My new motto - No One Can Take Care of You Like You Can!
LIVE NOW FITNESS FOREVER!!!

"SuperHero" Weight Loss Champ (Mar-Jun 2010)

LaKisha .GAt my heaviest, I weighed 210lbs held in a 5'3" frame. I would fluctuate in weight, going on diets just to have the weight eventually come back with more vengeance. Before I gained the weight I was always active, participating in boxing/kick-boxing and running. I tried to keep up with it while in the military but I got lazy. Family and school took a lot of my time and I just lost focus. I had surgery in April 2009 on my ACL/MCL and it was a tough road nursing those muscles back to health. When I decided to join the Live Now Fitness family, I had already made a commitment to myself and my health that this needed to be a life changing situation and not a DIET. I was 185lbs before I joined the group and within several weeks of doing the workouts 3 times a week, I got to 178lbs. I saw the progress, however slight and wanted to do more and be more. Then I had even more motivation with the Weight Loss Challenge. Challenge can be used as such a ubiquitous word as it can mean many different things to people at different times in their lives. The task I set before myself was to lose the weight, keep it off and maintain. This proved to be nothing less than an arduous task in the past but there was something deeper in me that needed to lose the weight. The challenge for me was to honestly change all aspects of my life. The three months of the challenge I came to know how to push myself mentally and physically. Things I never fathomed I would accomplish started coming to fruition. The fact that I am diabetic, have Celiac's Disease and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome were all aggravating factors to my continually fluctuating weight. I challenged myself to control those health issues so I could control my weight and ultimately take control of MY life. The LNF instructors and morning group provided me with more support than they may ever realize. There were some days I really didn't want to get up at zero-dark-thirty and go work out LOL! But I knew there was a group of fun people that would help me get motivated and help me work my way to my full potential. Though this 'challenge' is over, I know there will be more ahead of me. I'm still trying to reel people into the LNF family because working out with a group can provide you just the motivation you need to lose weight or just have fun working out. Plus you'll meet people and quite possibly build lasting friendships. I am glad to be part of the LNF family and I will continue the challenge of being a better me. LIVE NOW...LET'S GET IT!!!
LaKisha G.

SeanIt was time. I'd be making an overstatement if I said I'd half-heartedly tried losing weight in the last 10 years. I'd go the gym for a few months at the beginning of each year and kid myself. I just wasn't motivated and didn't really have a plan. My wife has been on my case for years, but as we all know - if you aren't doing for yourself, you're doing it for the wrong reasons.

I'd been telling my wife I wanted to lose weight, but going to the gym just wasn't what I was looking for. I made a comment one day that I'd like to really go to a boot camp. I meant taking a month off of work and going to a place where they would kick my butt and set me straight on eating healthy. Well, that wasn't in the cards for me, so I quickly ruled that out. Then my wife was looking on line and sent me the link to Live Now. They had Boot Camp Rush. I checked out the website and she called and spoke to Girt. This was on a Tuesday. He told her I could stop in for a free visit to see if I'd like it. My wife was telling me to go to the Wednesday morning session. I told her I'd go Friday. She was a little disappointed, but I told her it wasn't because I didn't want to go, but that I'd need the weekend to recover. I showed up Friday and loved the workout! I also needed the weekend to recover! I showed up Monday morning ready to get to work!

I hit the morning classes (M-W-F) before I go to work. What a way to kick start the day/week. I quickly realized I was getting in more work the first hour at Boot Camp on Monday than I would in a whole week trying to push myself at the gym. I still occasionally work out at another gym and when I see these personal trainers 'working out' their clients, I shake my head in disgust. Those trainers should call what they do 'Camp Cream Puff'. At Live Now you will work hard - but you'll have fun while you're doing it!

It is awesome that you can come to a place and workout with trainers that truly wan to see everyone be successful. I love the variety that Bruce and Girt put into each workout. No two workouts are the same. Girt is great to talk to about eating habits and he'll push you to keep a food journal. Do the journal - it really helps keep you on point with your food plan! I didn't see great results at first, but I take 100% of the blame for that. I hadn't changed my eating habits. I never met a second portion of food I didn't like. People say to me, "You changed your eating habits?" My answer is, "No, I fixed my eating habits." I stopped going back for seconds and started eating smaller meals. I also stopped eating chips and pretzels between meals and started eating oatmeal or fruit.

It's not all about weight loss! I'm also much more toned than I've been in 15 years. Weight loss is just part of the benefit. I'm in better shape head-to-toe, inside & out. This isn't a program where we just run or do cardio to lose weight. We do a HUGE variety of work each week - cardio and toning. My wife loves the changes she's seen in my body - and so do I!

I'm down about 30 pounds since I started working out with Girt & Bruce at Live Now, but I think I have 20 more to go. My goal is to get there by the end of September (I am writing this on July 7th). I WILL GET THERE!!!!

Sean

AprilThank you so much David! Honestly without your support I would have given up my first year . I'm happy to say I'm one to keep pushing through no matter how hard the situation may have been . I don't take it for granted that you were placed in my life to save my life . There is no one in my life that can push me the way you do, its just something about you.... Not only did you help me lose pounds but you also helped me lose such a negative attitude towards life and people . Right now as I type this note I can't control the tears from my eyes I would like for you to know I'm honestly one of LiveNow Fitness's biggest fans . Please don't stop asking me, what did you eat today? And everything else that you do (I'm going to regret saying that lol!). I truly love you as a trainer , big brother and a friend. Much success to LiveNow Fitness!

CarmenSeptember 2009 found me contemplating gastric bypass surgery to lose the 80+ pounds I had gained since starting my medication for anxiety and depression. I was in terrible physical shape, mentally and spiritually and was seeking a miraculous change. 2009 holidays came and went and I continued to mask the pain I was feeling inside with food and camouflaging the results of overeating with big and bigger clothes. 2010 I claimed as my new start.. A Year of Transformation!! I was going to regain my life, health and sense of well being. By Feb 2010, God sent me some friends at the crossroads of life exactly when I needed them. He introduced me to some people who told me about LiveNow Fitness Boot Camp. Through much encouragement, anxiety and apprehension, I attended.... But only one class. I told Bruce Jones (fitness trainer) nice knowing you but I have too many medical problems that prevent me from really getting my money's worth or the results I want as far as weight loss. Bruce said don't give me up too soon. Come in and talk with David Girton, he can give you some pointers. I was embarrassed to even go in to get a fitness evaluation until.........I entered my first Weight Loss Challenge in March 2010. At my highest weight, I weighed in at ~226lbs and fit snugly into a size 20w. I began journaling my meals and increasing my water intake and made my exercise time a priority. I planned my meals, scheduled my workouts on my calendar and began cooking my meals and taking my lunch to work. Although when I first started, I was limited to walking around the Soccerdome and doing push-ups on my knees; I have seen significant changes in my strength and fitness level since then. I am down to size 16 regular now and continuing to lose weight; I have challenged my body in ways I never thought possible before. Besides Boot Camp, our trainers are always looking for new and challenging exercises for us; hence TRX, what is it you may ask!!? Well TRX is a challenging core workout that pushes your muscles and core to new heights and gives you a totally challenging workout using suspension cables. I am at a good place in this journey to total health and wellness. I have regained my strength, capability and self confidence as a woman. None of which would have been possible without meeting and joining the LiveNow Fitness Family. I love you all and thank you for your uplifting words of encouragement, your dedication and passion for total body health and wellness.
Peace and Blessings,
Carmen P.Peoples (LNF Client 2010)

R. RenescaWhen I ran into an old friend of mine in the Fall of 2007, I was ready to make a change in my life. I had been out of the Air Force for over 5 years and had been struggling just as long to lose the extra weight that I had packed on since my release. The more I tried to lose the more weight I gained. My friend mentioned that she had been getting great results with David, who was now a personal trainer. I said “who Girt?” and she said “yeah.” I said “I knew Girt back in the day and I have never known him to say more than two words, how in the world can he be a personal trainer? He can’t motivate me, he’s too quiet!”

David’s name kept popping up in different conversations associated with working out so I decided to take it seriously. I went to the Live Now Fitness website to check it out. I was very impressed!!! You could tell that this “busta”, I mean “brotha” was for real. This was no cheesy website, he put a lot of care and detail into it. Also, I knew he had to be doing extremely well to leave his cushy job to pursue this full time.

I made an appointment with David for a physical assessment. During our conversation, I warned him that I was not the same Rose that he knew back in the day—I had gained a lot of weight. He assured me that it could not be as bad as I thought it was; I assured him that it was. When I showed up for my appointment his eyes said “WOW” but his mouth said “it’s not that bad.” I knew he was lying (he later made a confession). I had a whopping 186 lbs on my 5 `2 frame. Can you say obese? And it was not a solid 186 lbs but all flab.

I expressed to David I was tired of being fat and exhausted all the time. David told me he was here to help me but I had to put in the work. I said “This is it, I am ready!” I was in sad shape. I was a true size 16 still squeezing in size 14 clothes. I was busting out of my pants, I could no longer pull the zipper up on any of them, they were holding on for dear life by a strategically placed safety pin. I always knew I was one cookie or cake away from being naked (you can be honest when you are thin).

David and I proceeded to discuss personal training packages, I told him “I want the largest training package you have (48 sessions).” He actually tried to convince me to get a 12 or 24 session training package (maybe he didn’t think I was serious). I thought to myself, “DUDE, WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH YOU? I am trying to get the largest package—MORE MONEY FOR YOU!!!!” I assured him I was very serious about getting in shape. He finally caved and let me buy the 48 sessions.

I began my training sessions with David, and sure enough he was NO punk, in fact he was a beast with a passion for his craft. Initially it was rough, not only because of the workouts but also because of my busy schedule. The best time for me to workout was in the morning and his schedule was so tight I had to get in where I fit in; sometimes morning, sometimes afternoon, we might have even had a couple of lunch sessions, until I could get a permanent schedule. Secretly I prayed for client cancellations in the time slots I wanted.

Once I got into the habit of working out, I decided it was time to focus on my eating habits. Where I was once picking up my meals at the Chick-fil-A, McDonald's, or Wendy's drive-thru, I had to actually plan my meals. I now had to plan and prepare my meals in advance, which meant several trips to the grocery store and pre-packaging my meals for the week. “If you fail to plan, you plan to fail.” Failing was never an option for me, especially after buying a 48 session training package.

While I was busy juggling my old schedule with my new workout and eating/cooking schedule, something happened. My sweats were getting loose. After I signed up with Live Now Fitness, I went to Wal-Mart and purchased XL sweats (top and bottom) in every color, I had at least 10 sets and that was my workout gear. Initially it seemed like nothing was happening, then all of a sudden, I was losing and toning up at a rapid pace gaining me the title “The Incredible Shrinking Woman.” My sweats were hanging off of me, but I told myself that I wouldn’t get rid of them until I was down 50 lbs. By that time I might have been down 30 lbs, I didn’t know my weight, I instructed David not to tell me my weight until I made an official request.

During my workouts, my sweats pants became a nuisance, constantly getting in the way. My pants were constantly sliding down, I was tripping over them. I had to hold them up doing jumping jacks. When I’d get on the recumbent bike, they'd get stuck in the pedal. David was constantly yelling at me, “Get rid of the sweats, you spend more time pulling your pants up then you are working out!!!” I'd yell “No, I can use a safety pin to hold them up!” It got to the point when it really bothered me, I was tired of pulling up my pants and I looked straight up ridiculous so I got rid of the sweats before reaching my goal.

Oh by the way, the same thing that was happening with my workout gear was happening with my regular clothes. I was and still am constantly giving away clothes and buying new ones. I went from a size 16 to wearing a size 2 in suits and dresses and a size 4-6 in pants. Thank you, Jesus!!!!!!

If I could do it, anybody can!!! People make all kinds of excuses for not working out. No, I am not married (not yet!) and don't have any kids but I have a busy schedule. All I know is that I had to do something about my health and appearance, I didn't know how I was going to fit it in, I just knew that I had to make it happen and that I was not buying a size 16 wardrobe. If I had embraced the 16, it wouldn't be long before size 18 was around the corner.

The most important question you should ask yourself and is the same question that David asked me is “Are you ready to live NOW?”

A. ReavesMost of my adult life, I have been on this journey to a healthier lifestyle. It’s been a struggle, but the rewards are definitely worth the struggle. In 1997, I found myself at my most unhealthiest ever! I was 210 pounds and had borderline high blood pressure. For me, that was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I began to change my lifestyle as much as I could, without any professional guidance. I became more active by joining a gym and I began to eat healthier. From that point, I had many highs and lows in the journey. I would be consistent with exercising and healthy eating for weeks and then just fall off the wagon for months ending up right back where I started. Like a lot of people, I have tried many of the quick fixes, like eating only fruit for 10 days or drinking some concoction for weeks. Yes, I got results, but the results were never long term and the regimens were unrealistic. Over time I did lose 25 pounds and I was able to maintain that weight for several years. But, I remained overweight and at risk for certain diseases so I knew I needed to be more persistent and consistent in order to reach my goals.

In 2006, a friend invited me numerous times to come take the LiveNow Fitness boot camp class, but I rejected her, thinking the class would be to hard for me. I mean, she called it a boot camp for goodness sakes! Fast forward to 2008, I had decided to take getting fit and healthy more seriously. For the year, I had a goal of losing 20 pounds and participating in local fitness events such as 5 and 10K races. I started attending the LiveNow Fitness boot camp class in April to supplement my workout. At that time, I was participating in a biggest loser challenge at work and already going to the gym, but felt I needed a little extra. Not really thinking I would be able to get through the class, I tried the free session and was very pleased with the format of the class and the friendly, helpful trainers. I decided I would continue with the class until I won the biggest loser challenge. Well, I didn’t win, but I came in a strong 4th out of 20. I also completed my first 5K race. Noticing the dramatic changes of my body, energy level and stamina, I knew I had to continue with the classes. I even started attending both the morning and evening sessions. By December of 2008, I had lost 40 pounds (20 pounds more than my goal)! I attribute these achievements to the workouts and nutritional guidance at LiveNow Fitness.

So far this year I have completed three 5Ks, with more races to come, and I plan to one day do a half-marathon. Now that I have more energy and stamina, I can get back to participating in activities I love, such as tennis and bike riding. I also feel more open to trying new things like long hikes and rock climbing. I’m so proud of my accomplishments and I am really grateful to the team at LiveNow Fitness. They offer fun and effective workouts for every fitness level and the trainers really motivate and care about you reaching your goals. No workout is ever the same and every part of your body is challenged. You get to meet new people who share the same interest in fitness and a healthy lifestyle.

Thank you David and Bruce for motivating and helping me and other LNF clients to reach fitness goals we never dreamed of achieving! When you’re ready, I recommend checking out the life changing programs offered by LiveNow Fitness. See you in class!

Carrie M.I've struggled with my weight for a long time. So I joined a gym several months after my first son was born. They had group fitness classes and boot camps where I did get stronger and lost some weight, but it wasn't enough. I tried personal training, but lifting weights alone bored me. Then a friend introduced me to the LiveNow Fitness (LNF) Family during the holidays and special event camps. Since I had attended group fitness classes at my gym, I figured I would like it and be able to handle the various exercises. It was a completely different environment to work out in. I fell in love. I was excited about going to each class to see what I could experience next.

I have seen a transformation in myself over the last 6 months that I never expected. I don't know where my life would be without the LNF Family. The support that David, Bruce and the other LNF clients give on a daily basis is icing on the cake.

I can't thank David and Bruce enough. They are so encouraging every day. They push for the best out of all of us. I wish I would have started with LNF earlier in my efforts to lose weight. I am now excited about working out. In 6 months with LNF I have lost over 30lbs and several pants sizes, I can finally see myself at a healthy goal! Now, let's get it in. Live Now on Three!!!

A. GuyWhen a fellow exercising friend invited me to attend a free Live Now Fitness session, I decided to go and see what it was all about. I'd been in boot camps before and achieved some initial weight loss. In my first classes, just the warm-ups were challenging and I did push-ups against the wall. Thankfully, I joined the Live Now Fitness team the next day in January of 2010.

My aunt passed away in 2004 and both of my parents in 2006. I was one of their caretakers for many years and my weight ballooned. Though they all had different illnesses, the one thing they had in common was they were physically unfit. Their passing had a big effect on my life. A year later, I decided I'd better remedy my lifelong struggle with weight. So, I joined a gym, attended group fitness classes, and several boot camps. I lost 25 lbs, learned correct form, and became stronger in a span of 2 years but never really saw significant weight loss afterwards. I needed to get out of my exercise rut.

With positive, non-judgmental encouragement from David, Bruce and the rest of LNF team I improved my fitness level! After two months, I decided to participate in a 90-Day Weight Loss Challenge. I came in 3rd place and lost 25 lbs. To stay on track, I decided to join in the 30-Day "I'm So Hot" Challenge where I placed 2nd, lost another 7 lbs., and two pants sizes. I have not yet achieved my goal weight yet. My journey continues. But the most significant change has been in my attitude. My weight is a burden that has held me long enough both physically and mentally. With the results from six months of hard work, tenacity, and consistency- I now BELIEVE in the possibility of it all. I can "Witness the Fitness" within myself, something that I don't think I have ever felt before. Bruce and David enjoy life and exercising. Their zest and enthusiasm is contagious and apparent. The entire team has a well-rounded approach that mixes a strong work ethic with perseverance, humor and motivation. The workouts are tailored to challenge all fitness levels. The harder the course the more rewarding the triumph! I have more energy and stamina now. I feel great! This diversely supportive team inspires you to explore the possibilities of what can be achieved. When I joined Live Now Fitness, I had no idea what a profound effect it would have on my life. I know it's more than JUST business to the LNF group. They truly want everyone to enjoy a life of fitness. It's one of my best decisions that I've made recently. I hope to see you in class. Live Now on Three!

A. FoxBack in 2007 I was the heaviest I’d ever been and I was tired of feeling bad about myself, so after advice from my friend I started doing Weight Watchers and taking classes at the YMCA. After about 8 months I’d lost 40 pounds and was where I wanted to be weight wise, but I didn’t have the stamina or muscle definition I wanted. I noticed the Body Rush class one evening while watching my fiancé play soccer and thought it looked like a lot of fun. They had upbeat music and everyone was laughing and smiling. A little over a year and a half later and I’m working to become a personal trainer myself! I can see and feel new changes every day and I’m much stronger and have much more endurance than before. Every class we’re doing something different and using a different group of muscles. The trainers do a wonderful job instructing the classes, but do so much more. They are always giving everyone new ideas and tips for living a healthier life, whether it’s healthy recipes for great tasting smoothies or exercises to do at home. I don’t think I could go back to doing anything else now and I definitely know I couldn’t go back to the gym because I know it wouldn’t be as much fun or as challenging as the LiveNow classes.

P. WoodsI have been promising this testimony for David for a while now. So I hope the wait was well worth it. I moved to the area the latter part of 2006 and as you can see I was quite out of shape. I may have looked good in appearance but if I had to run, it was no doubt that I would be huffing and puffing! lol

Throughout the 5 years of being employed at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, as was a member of the YMCA and participated in various workout challenges. I was able to lose some weight, but never able to keep it off. This was mostly due to my lack of eating balanced and nutritious meals. My family here often jokes with me about me first meal I cooked when I moved here. It was one of those "southern meals" which consisted of fried chicken smothered in gravy, rice, veggies (with butter used), and corn meal cornbread. All of it was well seasoned with my favorite seasonings. Sounds bad, huh??

So with the help of my family here, I learned different cooking habits, which included not having to seasoning everything, baking instead of frying, less or no pork/red meat, and eating wheat bread versus white bread. It really took some getting used to, but by the time I went back home to visit, I had easily dropped 20 pounds. :-)

By losing this weight didn't mean I was still comfortable with my size. I still struggled with the emotional side of how I gained it. In 2003 I became involved with a guy and through that particular relationship; I lost so much of myself. As result of that I had low self-esteem, although people would never think that. I internalized my feelings throughout the 3 years of that relationship, which in my opinion allowed me to gain a significant amount of weight.

On a happier note, I finally came to the realization that I needed to develop an exercise routine. This was the summer of 2008 and David was just about to start the boot camp classes in the mornings. I knew that being at the soccer dome by 5:30 a.m. was going to be a struggle, especially considering the fact that I didn't get home until 12:15a.m. or thereafter. Despite this fact I still committed to attending the session. Two weeks into the session I could recognize my body was beginning to change and I could do 5-10 push-ups; which I could not do at all before!! I went through about 4 sessions and look at me now!!

David and Bruce are AWESOME trainers!! They motivate you to persevere and challenge you to try new exercises. Not to mention DC with all of his nutritional ideas and information. My brother David was always there to encourage me and never took any excuse I tried to give him. They all stayed in my face about attending class and rejoiced with me at every milestone and fitness goal that was reached. I can't even forget to mention my fellow boot campers!! Everyone in the class is so helpful and encouraging. I've been blessed to meet individuals with the same goals in life, and that is to Live Fit! We've each had our bad days in class where we felt as though we couldn't make it through the hour, but there always was someone by your side to motivate you until you completed the exercise. There has to be an attitude of "I", however there was also morale of "US", in which if we worked as a team, we all would win. It may sound weird to you, but that is the type of atmosphere that is created.

This has not only been a physical journey for me, but as an emotional one. I've had to erase the phrase "I can't" from my vocabulary because never in a million years did I expect to achieve this type of accomplishment. I've always been apart of the "yo-yo club", where I lose weight and then gain it back; but not this time! I've made it up in my mind that no U-TURNS are allowed and that failure is not an option! I recently turned 25 and not only do I look good, but I feel FABULOUS !

I also must as acknowledge my family (Kevin and Asia) for encouraging me to keep going! All of the early morning phone calls were not in vain. :) By you helping to change my way of thinking about food was the catalyst for my success while in boot camp. Thank you David for not giving up on your dreams of creating this business! Without you, I would still be calling myself a "fat girl"! ;-)

Julie NutterLive Now Fitness has truly changed my life. At the time when the Body Rush Class was introduced into my life, I was feeling very unmotivated about going to the gym and losing weight. I had already lost 20 lbs on my own and had reached a wall. I was looking for a new type of work-out when I started talking to a co-worker of mine and she invited me to join her. After the first session, I was hooked! I knew I would be coming back for a long time. Over the past 13 months I have lost an additional 20 lbs and have seen such a huge transformation in my body. I find the classes to be incredibly inspiring and challenging. I love how you never feel like you have maxed out and every class offers a new physical challenge. Girt and Bruce motivate each and every person to do their very best every step of the way. They have a way of making you feel proud of yourself every time and that is so important when trying to lose weight. Not to mention that Live Now is just like a family where you can share your ups and downs. It is always a place where you can get new tips or ideas. I feel the program that Bruce and Grit have built is the best around.

Nicole I."In 2009, my friend invited me to attend a LNF boot camp class with her and I had every excuse in the book as to why I couldn't go ("it's too early", "I don't have any money", and "I don't have time"). She continued to go as I watch her growth from the sidelines. In February 2010, I was feeling unhappy, defeated and in desperate need of a change. I was tired of sitting on the sidelines, "stalking" the Live Now Fitness Web site, and reading about other people's accomplishments. I wanted to get in on the action! My first consultation with David was a shocking reality. I could barely do a modified push up without breaking a serious sweat. I remember thinking I would not survive one boot camp class. I will admit, it was hard in the beginning but after a few weeks my body began to adjust to the workouts. The workouts are NEVER easy but I always feel so good after class! The interaction I have with the other clients is an added bonus. I love that I never know what to expect in class and they always have something fun, challenging and new planned. I've been attending LNF boot camp since February and it required some major lifestyle changes on my part. I'm still working two jobs and heavily involved in my church activities. However, now I make boot camp a part of my regular schedule, track my food and exercise in a journal and I even added the cost of the classes to my household budget. I'm so grateful to David, Bruce, Lawrence and my Live Now Fitness family for encouraging and pushing me beyond a place I ever imagined I'd go. I'm proud of what I've accomplished. In less than one year, I've ran my first 5K, lost weight, gained confidence and I'm growing STRONGER every day. No more sideline action for me. Life is too short to take things for granted so I'm living NOW!"

Crystal SwannI came to Live Now Fitness by the way of a recommendation from a good friend then I learned that some of my martial arts instructors really spoke highly of "Girt." They said if you really want a workout go see "Girt"...David Girton at LiveNow Fitness. I was expecting a regular workout... some running... some weights... some aerobics... you know... the regular deal. But what I got at LiveNow was a different workout. First of all, the instructors make all the difference. Girt's team had me up 4:30am to get to the 5:30 am workout and anyone who knows me knows that that's a very difficult things to do! The way Girt's team motivates each client makes the workout all the more enjoyable. Girt and Bruce nurture a positive and fun environment where people feel comfortable motivating one another. Everyone is a part of everyone else's success.

I've worked out before, as a matter of fact, I've been an athlete all my life but this workout is something more... something different. The instructors kept me motivated and pushed me to ask more of myself even when I was tired and didn't think I had anymore to give.

I worked muscle groups I never knew I had and I had a great time doing it. It's one of the best core and full body workouts that I've ever experienced! The way I knew something different was happening with my body was when I saw my thighs shrinking and I saw my running speeds improve. I was never been much of a runner but after working with Girt and his awesome team I run faster than I ever have and was able to hold my own when I resumed my martial arts training. Thank you Girt and thank you Bruce for all that you do to help people get out of their own way and live better, stronger, and more fulfilled lives. Live NOW!!!!

Jen H.My story has never really been about needing to lose lots of weight....it has been about spirit. LIVENOW has made working out fun again at a time when I most needed it...I had gone from working out at a minimum of 5 days a week to almost nothing. There was never a time in my life where I couldn't just jump on a treadmill or go to the gym for a few weeks hard and the 5 pounds that I had gained would come right off! It was like clockwork. Train hard and eat what I wanted, or slack off a little and watch my diet. No matter what, I could take care of it. Being in my mid 30's no longer allowed me to be lazy and eat junk all of the time!! Also, about 6 years ago, I began to have lower back pain that was unexplained. I have been to chiropractors, massage therapists and physical therapy. Had cortisone shots in my back, taken muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatories. You name it, I've done most of it. This was and still is a source of contension and mostly why I stopped working out. Even though I knew it must help to keep moving, it just hurt so much all of the time, I thought it felt better to not do anything. ENTER LIVENOW--Girt and Bruce and the rest of the family! In the first 3 months of training alone, I lost 5 pounds. This was a huge feat for me. I also had never run a 5k in my life until LIVENOW, and I was a track runner in highschool! I realized what I already knew...that working out kept my body active and made me stronger, made my back stronger. Even though I still have back pain a couple of days a week, its nothing like it was when I was inactive!!!! Girt and the gang bring so much fun, inspiration and passion to the workout that I hate missing it! This is a group of people that each have their own struggles, pains and hardships. They inspire me and make me glad to be alive. Working out with them makes me thankful for my health and my body, and since joining Livenow I have started paying attention to what I put in it. Cutting back or cutting out preservatives, artificial sweeteners, packaged foods, etc. has made me feel so much better. LIVENOW has given me back the passion and motivation to not only keep the lbs off, but I feel stronger and in better shape than I did at 25!!! Thanks to Girt, Bruce, and the family at LIVENOW! You keep me movin'!!!! I will continue to be inspired by you!!

Jen H.

KrisWOW!!! It took me 9 months to put on the weight and only 4 months to drop it! I gained over 50lbs with my second child. I was determined to dropping the pounds and LiveNow Fitness was a huge part. The customized workout plan and nutritional advice helped me loose the unwanted weight in a safe and healthy way. The personal training sessions gave me just enough push to dig deep and make it happen while the BootCamp classes gave that group support and encouragement. The workouts are great-doing things I never thought I would. I am feeling more confident and ready to work on baby #3:) THANK YOU LIVENOW FITNESS!!!

I have been a member of Live Now Fitness for over 2 years. I joined Live Now because my weight was escalating as well as my blood pressure. I always thought of myself as being physically fit but upon joining Live Now I quickly saw that I had so much more potential in me. I was immediately impressed with how the trainers welcomed me into the fold. It is like one big happy family. The first day you are introduced with a hearty welcome and this nurturing group atmosphere continues indefinitely. I continue to come to Live Now because it really challenges me to a higher level of physical fitness. I am continuously amazed at how my physical stamina has increased since joining. I have never been much of a runner and through this class I am now able to run several miles. Live Now does a great job of building sprints into the workout and before you look up you have run a mile without realizing it. I highly recommend Live Now to anyone who wishes to get in shape or take their fitness to the next level . Whatever your workout goals are you will achieve it with this class. Live Now does a fantastic job of motivating its clients. Over two years and counting and I have never experienced the same workout class twice.

J. MollonLive Now Fitness”…A lot more personal, I feel like they care about me.

They are extremely knowledgeable and, more well-rounded than other trainers. "I started with “Live Now Fitness” about a month and a half before I was pregnant. David is my trainer and is awesome! He is exactly the kind of trainer you want whether you are pregnant or not! He is an expert about fitness and nutrition and is continually seeking additional education. David is encouraging and motivating! He helps me by always being positive and persuading me to exercise even on the days when _I don't really feel like it_. His workouts are fun and never boring! He is genuinely concerned about your health and how you are feeling.

In the beginning of my pregnancy I experienced morning sickness (all day sickness). The only time I would feel relief was when I was exercising. I was considered a high risk pregnancy due to a thyroid condition. The doctors were concerned that the thyroid would trigger diabetes. I decided that the best thing for my baby and I was to continue to exercise. After speaking with David, he came up with a regiment that would be beneficial to my pregnancy. This is my third pregnancy and People can’t believe how I look and how much energy I have. My doctors were astounded that I made it 40 weeks without any complication or medication. It is all contributed to the exercise program and eating healthy. David is an excellent trainer and has made my 40 weeks a breeze. I was able to maintain my same dress size and was able to tone my body while pregnant. David and I both say we can’t believe it went by so fast.

I Thank God for “Live Now Fitness”. They are truly a blessing. I hope that more pregnant women will catch on and realize that the best thing for you and your baby is a positive environment, fitness, the proper nutrition and an awesome trainer.

If you are looking for someone who is well trained, positive, motivating, and fun to help you lead a healthier lifestyle, I would recommend David and “Live Now Fitness!"

A. CheavesI have been a client of Live Now Fitness for 10 months and counting strong!! I am extremely excited about my experience and accomplishments with Live Now Fitness. I had a doctors visit in late March of 2008 and was informed that both my weight and cholesterol were elevated. Well, all it took was a visual of me to know I was over weight and the doctor told me he didn't want to put me on medication or diet, but suggested first I change my cholesterol intake and start to exercise and revisit him in 6 weeks for follow-up. I happened to notice the change in a friend and church member one day shortly after that, and asked her what was she doing. She told me she had joined a fitness group and had been working out for about 6 months in a combination of personal and class training. Normally, I don’t follow people based on what they tell me, but it was visually clear there was a change in her physical appearance and it looked great as I told her. She gave me the phone number and I contacted David Girton the same day. I explained to him what I was looking to do and he set me up for the assessment and it was on!

Six weeks into my training I returned to my doctor for follow-up and I was at least 13 lbs down and my cholesterol had returned to normal. My doctor was shocked and told me whatever I was doing to keep it up. And I'm doing just that! For me, it wasn't just about losing weight, but at my age, being healthy! I refuse to have to be on medication or special diet for anything the rest of my life. Smart, healthy eating choices and persistence has been the key for me. There were exercises that I thought they were crazy for instructing me to do. I thought "a plank" what's that? and push up, yeah right, oh and run, I don't think so. Well, with persistence, not only can I now do a plank, but I can hold the position with other motions included. Push ups, if I press real hard, I can do about 15 in a set. Running, I'm still not 100% fond of it, but, I'm doing that too. I have made working out a life style. I don't feel right if I don't workout. And when I don't feel right, I workout and find I feel great. So, for me (like praising) there are only two times to work out "when I feel like it" and "when I don't"!

I have used similar services and found repetitious, repetitious, repetitious, to the point that I could teach the class myself. Results were extremely slow to eventually none. Boredom and dissatisfaction set in and I quit. With Live Now Fitness, personal and class training is full of variations, flexibility, well rounded and change. Never the same thing twice and most of all exciting and lots of fun. You come away from a work-out feeling like you already have great results. The routines are done at your own pace and with assistance if needed. You are not only trained on what to do, but also how to do it correctly so as to avoid injuries and get the proper outcome. David Girton takes extreme care and wisdom to design the right fitness plan just for me in my personal training and it is just that "personal". The entire team is courteous and all share the same vision and are on one accord with providing excellent client service and meeting the fitness goals of everyone. The locations are worth the trip and the price is right!

Did I mention my age? I am 54 years old, a grandmother for 10 years. I am an IT specialist by profession and now more active and stronger than I have been in years. Unlike most of my peers, No health issues and no medications prescribed for me. I have lost a total of 32 pounds to date and look forward in 2009 and the years to come to Live Life, Live Fit and most of all, Live Now!

D. FortsonJust like many women, I am a wife, a mother of two, and heavily focused on my career. It wasn’t until 2008 that I decided to focus on myself, to have work life balance and enjoy a healthier lifestyle. On January 1, 2008, I took the first step by running on a treadmill. When it was over, I was out of breath, barely breathing, my heart was racing, and my legs were wobbly. It became a reality when I looked at the treadmill time and noticed that I was only running less than 4 minutes. Since then I’ve been challenging myself to do new activities. I’ve completed two 5k Runs and joined Live Now Fitness-Body Rush.

I was introduced to the LiveNow Fitness team by my good friend, T. Lacey, who kept on raving about the program. So I attended my first class approximately three months ago, which was unforgettable. After my first class, one of the instructors asked me how did I enjoy the class and I said, “It was a nice little warm up.” Let the truth be told, I can’t believe I survived! What a work out! I joined that same night. Every class is an adventure and I always look forward to the next class. Since I’ve been attending LNF, I’m energized, I’m toned, and I love the way I look. It’s a great feeling to be a member of the LNF family.

This year (2009), I have added swimming to my weekly workout. My long term goals are to eat healthier, complete a 10k Run and attempt to complete the Iron Girl Competition. If you ever want to join a workout session that will motivate you to do your very best, then Live Now Fitness is for you!

B. Helm-FoxMy daughter Audrey and I have been members of LiveNow Fitness for the past 9 months. While my daughter's fiance was playing soccer, she observed people working out on one of the other fields. In addition to a great high-energy workout, it also looked like the participants were having fun. Audrey convinced me to come for a trial session, and we have been devoted fans of the program ever since. I love the fact that each class is unique and works out a different part of the body. I have noticed that I have more endurance, strength and energy from working out. All of the instructors are experienced, energetic and fun and urge each person to do their very best. The LiveNow Team is very mindful of their clients and tailor each exercise accordingly. I have never been a huge fan of health clubs and have always preferred to exercise on my own. I have two dogs, and I walk/run with them every day. LiveNow Fitness is the perfect complement to my own exercise regime.

I am married and the mother of two children (Audrey and Matt). I am employed by both Howard County Community College and Baltimore County Community College as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor in Writing and ESL.

Hey Guys...

You all made the difference. As you know, I recently defended my title as the 3-time Heavy Weight World Champion in Fighting for Okinawan Karate. Besides my own personal karate drills and exercises, the training you all provided to me during my Body Rush and Boot Camp classes gave me the strength, stamina, agility, and speed I needed to push myself to victory! I used to see your classes as a way to augment my martial arts training, but now I see you all as a life-changing force that I will always have in my schedule. Thanks for pushing my fitness training to the limits and helping me to Live Now! See you in class...

I have never been the person that had the discipline to workout. I joined a gym but never went and I saw my money just fly out the window. I was getting older and wanted to maintain what I had and also tone up and increase my endurance. I came across LiveNow Fitness online and decided to try it out. I must admit that the first class had my body crying in pain and I was unsure about coming back. But I am so glad I did!! Thanks to LiveNow, my doctor has taken me off my cholesterol medicine and my asthma is hardly a problem anymore. My clothes fit better and I just feel better about myself as I get older. The trainers are absolutely awesome! They are motivating without that drill sergeant approach I thought I was going to get when I the words heard “boot camp”! The classes are fun and always challenging. As well as getting into great shape, I have made friends and found a “fitness family”. We all push each other to obtain our individual goals and that is something you can’t get at a gym. LiveNow is the way to go and I can’t see myself working out any other way! I look forward to the future and getting into better shape. It’s not just a fitness class; it’s a lifestyle and a family! I highly recommend it to everyone I speak to, whether I know them or not! LOL

I began working out in LiveNow Fitness Bootcamp at the beginning of 2010 with the whole idea of getting into shape for a rat race that I intend to compete in toward the end of the year. With the long winter and having sprained my ankle and just pure laziness, I had to get back into the idea of exercising again. Through Live Fitness, Ive been challenged through various exercises and even found some that worked muscles I didnt know existed. After a few weeks of training with them, I had gained the motivation back that I was lacking and have also taken tips on turning around my eating habits which also play a big part in seeing the difference Im looking for. Both David and Bruce keep the routines interesting and fun. It is a great teamwork opportunity where we all motivate each other to meet each challenge and improve, adapting to healthy living.

Usually when people share their weight loss journey, they start off with “my weight has been an issue all my life”; however, for me that was not the case. So over the last couple years when significant weight started to creep up on me I had no clue how it happened or how to fix it. For years, I justified and made excuses for my weight gain by saying things like “I’m getting older”, “my metabolism is slowing down” or “if I had more time I could just take care of it”. Through the excuses I did what most people do, I joined the gym, nutrition programs, got a trainer, went on diets, etc… and I would see slight changes but nothing consistent, which I attribute to me not being totally committed but also the programs didn’t motivate or inspire me. At the end of 2010, I woke up one day and didn’t like what I was seeing any more, I didn’t feel good about myself, I was sick often and wasn’t sleeping. I went to my doctor she said flat out, “you are overweight and your not as healthy as you should be---the lack of energy, the vitamin deficiencies and all the other symptoms you are experience are only going to get worse”. From that point I knew I needed to do something, so I Googled personal trainers in my area and what popped up was Live Now Fitness boot camp. I immediately said to myself, “Next, I don’t do group activity”. Then two days later, I received an email with a Groupon for LNF boot camp. At that point I figured let me try it and I am so thankful I did. The first class was scary---I don’t like groups, I didn’t know what to expect from the workout and I wasn’t sure if I could keep up. That first workout was a beast!!! But I got through it because of the trainers and the LNF family. It’s very rare to be in a group setting but actually feeling like you’re getting an individual experience but that’s how I felt. I was being pushed and encouraged from all directions. I left my first session, knowing I was definitely coming back and that’s what I’ve done --- I committed to coming to boot camp at least four days/week because I know I will be pushed, supported, inspired by others and even positively bullied into doing things I never thought I could do. Since I’ve started 5 months ago I’ve participated in six 5K races (two of them with mud and obstacles), can knock out pushups, pull-ups and whole host of other things. I’m not just loosing weight; I’m getting strong and living a new healthy lifestyle. The workouts with LNF are tough, challenging but awesome and will get you results you want but what makes Live Now Fitness “SPECIAL” is the environment and the commitment of the LNF Family (training team and clients). I am still on my journey to adopting and living a healthy lifestyle but I certainly have found a home in LNF to make it happen!
